Art Exhibition and Art Auction
Friday 25th November saw the school community come together to celebrate the artistic talents of students from Pre Kindy to Year Six as part of the school’s 125th anniversary. Artwork was admired, individual pieces purchased, and class pieces auctioned off as part of the evening’s program. On Saturday students joined their families to view their work and play games on the oval.
A big thank you to the P&F for their amazing efforts in making these memorable events and to all parents and families who supported them!
Christmas Concert and Awards Night 2022
Our end-of-year Christmas Concert and Awards Night took place last Friday night. It really was a wonderful community celebration. We do need to acknowledge the hard work by Miss Sophie Costello and all of the staff in preparing the students for this evening. Special thanks to Miss Mikaela Caruso and her Year 1 students for their beautiful presentation of the Nativity. Thank you to our families for their attendance. What a proud night to belong to Sacred Heart!
Muddy Gully Incursion
On Wednesday the 7th of December, Educated by Nature visited the Kindy students with a Mud Incursion. The children were free to explore a variety of mud or clay including, making mud pies, creating art with clay and natural materials, drawing with Ocher and being fully immersed in a mud slip and slide. Despite some initial skepticism, all the children embraced their inner pig and had a messy, wonderful time. A special thank you to our five parent helpers and the Kindy staff and Leadership Team for their help and involvement in the mud.
Year 6 Graduation Assembly, Mass and Dinner Thank you
On Wednesday evening our Year 6 students graduated from Sacred Heart Primary School. The day began with a special Year 6 Assembly. In the evening, a special Graduation Mass took place at Sacred Heart Church followed by a special dinner for the graduates and their families. The Graduation Dinner was prepared by the current Year 5 parents, who we give immense thanks to them for their time, efforts and wonderful organisation, in particular to the Graduation Co-ordinator Georgia Caceres and her team of fabulous helpers. We also extend thanks to Ms Byrne-King, Mrs Adair and Mrs Panaia for preparing the students for this very special event. We wish all our Year 6 Graduates a wonderful future as they commence their secondary school journey. Congratulations to the Class of 2022!
End-of-Year Thanksgiving Mass
This morning, we celebrated the conclusion of another school year and farewelled our leaving students and staff at a very special Thanksgiving Mass. We wish all our leaving families and staff members the very best as they continue their journeys.
Wishing all of the Sacred Heart Community a Happy and Holy Christmas
We conclude by thanking all members of our school community for their contribution and continued support to our school in 2022 to ensure a very successful year. We look forward to working with you all again in 2023. May you and your families have a blessed Christmas. We trust that you will enjoy a safe and restful break.

Basketball Incursion
Sacred Heart students have had a fantastic opportunity to learn basketball skills from Bri Bailey, a Perth Redbacks basketball player. Students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 have been bouncing, shooting, passing and slam dunking on the basketball court. There are some future basketball stars at Sacred Heart.
Run Club
Congratulations to the 2022 Run Club participants. It was amazing to see Kindy to Pre-Primary students running around the oval on Monday mornings. Running is one of the best forms of aerobic exercise; improving heart health and strengthening muscles. On Tuesday, students that had reached the goals of the 5km Club, 10km Club and the 20km Club were recognised with a certificate for their achievement. Congratulations on running those accumulated totals! Run Club will be back, bigger and better in 2023. I look forward to our runners reaching the 50km Club and beyond.
