Happy Mother’s Day

A Blessing for Mothers
Loving God,
bless and care for our mothers, and mother figures, always.
May they always be beloved and cherished
Help us to be grateful and helpful,
not just on Mother’s Day but every day.
We make this prayer in the name of Jesus
who loved his mother very much.

A big thank you to our P&F Committee members for coordinating the Mother’s Day Bags. Thank you also to our school staff for assisting the students to complete these bags – they were ‘made with love’.

Term 2 Curriculum Outlines

The teachers have posted to Seesaw their Term 2 Curriculum Outlines. Please take the time to peruse these outlines and discover what your child will be focussing on in Term Two. The Outlines provided key learning outcomes and important dates for the term.

NAPLAN will be taking place next week (Week 3) for our Year 3 and Year 5 students. A reminder for parents not to overemphasise the importance of these tests and to avoid undue stress. In addition, we ask that parents of children in the Year 3 and 5 classes avoid any appointments or any activities that may result in interruptions to the class during this period. Please ensure that your child is well-rested during this week. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher should you have any further questions regarding NAPLAN Week.

Project Compassion 2022

Thank you for supporting Caritas’ Project Compassion Appeal this year. As a school, the collective total of these donations will be given to Caritas. Thank you in advance for your generosity and concern for the less fortunate members of our society by supporting this Appeal, which helps empower the world’s poorest communities to create real and lasting change and improve their lives.

LifeLink Day 2022 – Crazy Hair Day

Archbishop Costelloe SDB has warmly invited primary schools in the Archdiocese of Perth to join together to participate in LifeLink Day 2022. Students are invited to make a gold coin donation for LifeLink Day, which is launched early June, and we will invite all students to participate in a ‘Crazy Hair Day’ by wearing crazy hairstyles (coloured hair-spray allowed) to school on Friday 27 May. All gold coins collected on this day will go directly to the LifeLink agencies. We are looking forward to everyone’s support for LifeLink on this day.
