iMaths Tracker Books
iMaths Tracker Books went home at the end of last term. We hope you have taken some time to look through your child’s work and see how they have been progressing throughout Term One. Please ensure you have signed and returned your child’s book as they are utilised in class each week.
NAPLAN Week
NAPLAN will be taking place in Week Four for our Year 3 and Year 5 classes. A reminder for parents not to overemphasise the importance of these tests and to avoid undue stress. In addition, we ask that parents of children in the Year 3 and 5 classes avoid any appointments or any activities that may result in interruptions to the class during this period. Please ensure that your child is well-rested during this week. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher should you have any further questions regarding NAPLAN Week.
Project Compassion 2021
Thank you for supporting Caritas’ Project Compassion Appeal this year. As a school, the collective total of these donations will be given to Caritas. Thank you in advance for your generosity and concern for the less fortunate members of our society by supporting this Appeal, which helps empower the world’s poorest communities to create real and lasting change and improve their lives. We are looking forward to a great response for 2021.
ANZAC Day School Service
Last Friday, Mrs Saraceni and our Year Four students held a beautiful and moving ceremony to commemorate ANZAC Day. Thank you, for such a reverent tribute to our soldiers. Sacred Heart was also to be represented at the Mount Hawthorn ANZAC Day Ceremony by Angelia Horne and Alessia Saraceni, however due to COVID restrictions, the event was cancelled. We would like to thank the girls for the time and preparation they put into getting ready for this special occasion in our community. Lest We Forget.

Inter School Swimming Carnival
Congratulations to the Sacred Heart Inter School Swim Team who swum against fierce competitors from a number of Catholic Schools in our Associations, at the very end of last term. The Swimming Carnival was held at HBF Stadium on April 1. Sacred Heart finished seventh on the day. It was a joy to see the effort, team spirit and sportsmanship that students from Sacred Heart showcased at this inter school meet.
