Welcome Back to 2021

We would like to welcome all students and families back to Sacred Heart Primary School for 2021. Although it was a delayed and slightly different start to the school year, we would like to congratulate our students for showing wonderful independence and resilience in the first few weeks of School. The students have made a positive start to the new school year and have shown a great sense of pride and commitment to their learning. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new students, parents and staff to our Sacred Heart Community. We thank our very committed staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth start to the year for all students. We would also like to thank all parents for their continued support.

A Prayer to Begin the New School Year

God of wisdom and might,
we praise you for the wonder of our being,
for mind, body and spirit.
Be with our children as they begin
this new school year.
Bless them and their teachers and staff.
Give the strength and grace as their bodies grow;
wisdom and knowledge to their minds
as they search for understanding;
and peace and zeal to their hearts.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. It is a season of Penance and Reflection which prepares us for Jesus’ resurrection on Easter Sunday. On Wednesday, our students attended a whole school liturgy in the school hall to celebrate Ash Wednesday, facilitated by the Year 6 students and celebrated by Fr Mark. The receiving of ashes on this day marks our commitment to Jesus Christ and God. We want to show God that we are ready to turn away from sin and doing the wrong thing, to staying faithful to the Gospel, by living good lives.

2021 Fees and Charges have now been invoiced and emailed to all carers/guardians. As detailed in the email correspondence all information pertaining to your account, along with your payment options which are detailed after the fee statement section, is included on this statement.

Every family is required to complete and submit a new Payment Option form each year. Payment arrangements carried over from last year are not automatically adjusted to allow for any increase/decrease in fees. It is a school requirement to complete the payment option form to ensure the correct number of instalments, at the correct payment amount, are being made in order for your fees to be paid by 19 November 2021. Please complete and return the Payment Option Form via email finance@shpsh.wa.edu.au or direct to the office before 05 March 2021.

Health Care Card Fee Discount Scheme – To access the Health Care Card Assistance Scheme, an eligible means tested Centrelink card must be presented to our Administration Office and a HCC Fee Discount Scheme form completed. The card must be in the name of the parent/guardian who is responsible for payment of fees. Should a valid card not be presented upon expiry of an existing card, any previous discount applied, will be reversed and the applicable fees and charges will be invoiced for your account in line with the expired card.

A reminder, it is a school requirement that each family has an approved, up to date, payment plan in place. If you have not received your invoice or if you have any queries regarding your fees or the payment schedule, please contact the Linda Robertson on 9253 2502.
