Sacred Heart’s Winter Appeal

The Pastoral Care Council would like to thank the Sacred Heart staff and families for the generous donations made so far to the Winter Appeal. There is still time to contribute items to help those in need within the local community. Suggested items to bring in are: old jumpers, blankets, gloves, beanies and scarves. All donations can be dropped off into the marked laundry baskets in the hallway leading to the front office. At the conclusion of Term 2, the Pastoral Care Council will donate the items collected to help people in need. We thank you for your support!

Sacrament of Eucharist

The 2019 Eucharist communicants received Jesus for the first time. The Sacred Heart Parish community came together to celebrate this very special occasion. The communicants were overwhelmingly reverent and proud of their special Sacrament. We thank the Parents, Parishioners and teachers for attending and making this a very special moment in the children’s’ faith journey. We look forward to our final three communicants receiving their Sacrament this Sunday at 9.00am at the Sacred Heart Church. Congratulations to all the 2019 First Eucharist Communicants.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Today we spent a wonderful day celebrating the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The day began with a very special mass celebrated by Fr Mark. We were very fortunate to have this mass attended by several Sisters from Our Lady of the Missions. The staff of Sacred Heart enjoyed a special morning tea this morning. Throughout the day, our students had a lovely time participating in several Feast Day activities, which culminated in a special Sausage Sizzle Lunch. We would like to thank staff for their assistance and involvement in the preparation of this day. We hope that the students had a wonderful day.

 Work Sample Folders

Work Sample folders for Term 2 went home today for Kindy – Year 6. We hope parents are able to take some time to look through your child’s work sample file and see how well they have been working throughout Term Two. Please be aware that these work samples provide a snapshot of your child’s work and is an opportunity for you to praise your children with positive affirmations for their effort and identify areas for improvement. Please be diligent in returning the work sample files back to school once you have looked through them and completed the parent responses.
